Has anyone detected the beaches Redington, Madeira, and Treasure Island, which are just south of Clearwater? I'd be interested in knowing if results from them are any better than Clearwater Beach, which is so heavily detected and usually stripped clean. I've detected Indian Rocks beach, and amazingly, the results from it are even worse than Clearwater.

I have hunted all of them, all the beaches are basically the same. They are smaller beaches, the odds of finding gold are the same on each. There is no special beach that gives up more gold in central Florida, odds of finding gold is strictly a numbers game, the more traffic a beach gets, the more lost jewelry it may contain, the more you hunt the better your odds.

All beaches have zones, survey the beach and hunt the high traffic zones first.

Odds are better in Miami area because there is a lot more beach traffic, water is warmer, so more tourists in water in winter.

Just FYI, I have never meet a fellow detectorist that is going to post on a forum their honey hole beaches. Many want even tell you what beach their recent find came from. If you have a gold mine would you post it's location on a public forum?

You will never ever know unless you just go!!
Next time you go hunting, try a new beach and project a positive outcome. GL$HH!🏴‍☠️
