Detecting at Bradenton/Sarasota, Florida

Does anyone know of a good beach in the Bradenton/Sarasota area to detect at? I've never been there, and I'd like to see if it's any better than Clearwater. But I'm always worried about finding parking, especially on those tiny barrier islands where parking is at a premium and where the city loves to ticket violators.

Go to the public beaches on both, they both have a lot of traffic in summer.

Fort Desoto....Just a hop skip and a jump across the Skyway (US 19)..

Siesta Beach is like Clearwater Beach....always someone there detecting.
I've always liked the smaller beaches like Lido key just to the north. Plus plenty of parking.

I was at Clearwater Beach yesterday afternoon detecting. There wasn't another detectorist in sight for the two hours I was there. Unfortunately, there was nothing to find except a junk earring. 48 beach trips - zero gold and only 1 silver trinket.
