Hi all,
With the gorgeous MI weather I was itching for a hunt, so on Sunday I headed for one of my field sites. I have hunted it over the years and, with lots of no-till farming here, not a lot of good signals left. With not much to show after a couple hours, I was making a last line towards the car when I got a good low tone. Expecting another shotgun shell, I was excited when a shield nickel popped out. This coin was minted the year General Grant was elected President. :icon_thumright:

Gotta love the (lack of) soybean stubble!

WTG Anne! Great coin.

Yup - that's a beauty Anne!
Only ever found one of those
Love the colors in the background of your field. Congrats on a great find!!

Nice old nickel Anne, that's a difficult one to find, congrats!

Very nice. Are not fields the best? Not all the backround noise, I stricktly use TTF relic mode on the Etrac

Yes, field hunting rocks. Most have no aluminum except a stray pop can. Any stable signal gets dug. Holes can be sloppier and digging tools bigger.
My only issue is lack of cover if you need to relieve yourself. :laughing7:
