I took the crappiest indian head cent I had to get a baseline for where it would show on the screen. I blacked out everything below it and left the entire top of the screen open all the way to the left. I then used learn to get buffalo nickels in- and opened the line all the way to the left. In trashy sites- you will still hear the good tone- but the cursor will still be located way to the left. If this was blacked out, there is a good chance it would be nulled and you would miss it. This program only works in ferrous tones.
It takes a while to get used to the onslaught of iron thuds, but you will get used to them after a while. Ignore the high monotone sounds and only dig the repeatable ( 1 way or 2 way) fluty sounds (sounds that have multiple notes to them for lack of a better description). A lot of these signals are only 1 way because of the iron thud covering it from the other direction, if it sounds fluty 1 way and is repeatable dig it.
I also am having much better luck with fast on rather than deep.
Let me know how it works or if anyone has any ideas to add.
