I thought eagle too, but sure enough there's teeth in that mouth. Still the letter opener Does look like the right size.

I don't know if post are showing or not. The dragon is from a matchbox. The beetle is small.

Does the fly have any points where a pin may have been attached? I agree it looks like a pin or broach.
