The beaches here have been busy will the younger crowds lately and I have been finding my share of cheap crappy jewelry but this one really pissed me off today.
I thought I had a winner, or at least gold with CZ's, but no, not even silver.
It is a nice ring but come on! Who buys their fiance one like this?

The only good thing is that it fits my wife and she told me that if it was real she would have kept it anyway (she is still wearing it )

Please excuse my rant but I'm sure you feel my pain. :BangHead:

Beggars cant be choosers.Cant win all the time.

Beggars cant be choosers? That's an odd thing to say

I hate it when I find something and have to complain because I found something. I just hate it when that happens.

Been there It Is really Painful!! HH and Good Luck Chug and Red

might be a law we just dont know yet hehe...anyhoo fakes seem to rule these days, sign of tough times and cheapskates

"Fake nails"....:laughing7:....I guess you just have to have the right, or wrong, mindset to appreciate that type of humor.

As for those faker rings....I've gotten to the point I don't even bother looking at rings anymore until I can get my hands on my x32 eyes back in the truck. Otherwise they all look like winners. :laughing7:

Fred, sorry about that ring find. I had the same thing happen to me...they look so beautiful, but not to be.

I wish you good luck on your next hunt.

Lorraine

I guess the Honeymoon didn't last very long! :tongue3:

Maybe it was discovered as a fake and she saw if she could skip it like a rock??

I prefer to find silver and gold rings, but if I find costume jewelry, it just goes with our hobby. If I find nice fake rings, I give them to my niece and she gives them to girls she knows. They know it's not the real deal, but are just happy to have a ring.
Better luck next time & happy hunting.

Awe man that is like having the winning lotto numbers for last weeks drawing.

Hey Fred in the treasure/gold shop I visit they have a jar to donate costume jewelry, hot wheels and other trinkets you find. They use them to seed kid hunts with the local clubs. Something I thought was pretty cool. Bet some kid would be going ballistic if they found that ring. HH

Well, it looked good!

Sign of the times and a poor economy maybe? Kinda like finding a spoon ring only to find out its plated instead of silver ;) Well I like sparkly so nice find even if its only good for the kiddies to play with.

I have some bad news friends! This store went in in Dallas love field airport probably 1.5 - 2 years ago! We are going to see a lot more of this stuff!

Sorry to be the bear of bad news!

Been there done that, I just drop it in the pouch and keep hunting. I'll deal with it all when I get home.

Not Bad for an Overnite Wedding Band. Might fit some of the California Whispering Bush People. I had a Lady approach me last year and said she lost a Nice Ring like yours. She said she paid $ 3.00 for it. I'm out of there quick.
