Finally a 40% silver proof!!!!

[zmemarine]

Found the following roll hunting yesterday. Favorite roll found had 70s proof, 68s proof, 67 sms, 81 clad proof, 72 clad proof, 80 clad proof, and 7 dirty 40%.

1 walker 41d
4 franklins
6 1964 jfk's
1 sms 40%
2 40%proof '70s, 68s
55 40% jfk
4 clad proof
1987 p
7 nifc

Finding a 40% proof eluded me all last year and was a goal for '09.

Kudos, there Z. And quite a haul to boot. How much did it take to get all those keepers ?

Ya gotta like those proofs; especially the 68 & 70.

SWEEET score. Did you find them in a box of halves or on a road trip?

[zmemarine]

I found them on a road trip into the bad area banks. 822 dollars total searched.

Congrats on the silver proof. You mentioned that you found a 1967 SMS. How can you tell the difference between them? Do the SMS coins have any markers that you can look for?
