If your employer told you that you had to walk around in the hot sun for 4 hours, dig holes and replace the dirt, and he would pay you a couple bucks for the day. What would you do? ;)

I'm gaining a bit of respect for fishy's nose. That lil piece might be silver. LOL

"If there's wheats, there's silver?"

So, if there's no wheats, there's no silver, right? ;)

WRONG!!! This is the 1st silver "coin" I've found in two months! :)

Then, look at the classic drive that showed up!

A good day! (and all because of one dime and a car. LOL )

Thanks for peeking!

Nice looking Barber! Congrats on crushing that drought!

Nice digs there! We just got a drought breaker here its raining ! So I can go detect again maybe if it rains enough to soften the ground and let my detector work good again!

You mentioned a field. Is this a new site? Hope it is so you can get some new scenery.

Yeah, it was new, (to me). (Slightly north of the Mason Dixon too. LOL )

That's the reason I change from time to time. See different sights. Evidently it's been very well hunted. It's current purpose dates back to at least the 50's. The signals were pretty far between. And, not much in the way of shade. ;)

Awesome at 3 inches! This hobby never ceases to amaze me

This one I attribute to being blessed and a little help from a lawnmower. Ya see, when they ride those tractors around, sometimes, they cut the field just a little wider that the last time. I found this right at the very edge of the cutting. I figure they uncovered new ground that others may have skipped before. Worked! ;) (yeah, yeah, I'm all that! LOL )

Well if your detector breaks you can take fishy with you he seems to be a real treasure finding fish!

Yeah, seems to be turning into a real "gold" fish. ;)

Nice finds! That matchbox car was actually made in England unlike the ones today!

Yeah, sort of vintage. Nice surprise.

I'm surprised you didn't haul in a chest full of gold while I'm stuck in the void.
I'll be here floating around someplace looking for free WiFi!

Oh, about that chest of gold? Yeah, I did, but, you didn't expect me to post that here, didja? lol

It's supposed to only be 79 for a high here tomorrow! I just spotted a field that I am pretty sure I can get permission to hunt and it had it's grain cut and they were baling the straw, so I have to try it before they replant.
It's where Cjon found all those IH's and the beautiful knee buckle. The elderly couple that let us hunt had a great attitude about detecting. The area has some long history of settlement and farming. Hopefully there will be something good to show him while he is frolicking in the surf, lol!

Sounds like a site with good potential. Even has some proof already.
Shouldn't be too much interference out there either.

great digs there, you never let us down.

I sure hope not, lol. On today's hunt, I had to deal with one of those buried dog fences.

So, did you try turning down the sensitivity? :icon_scratch:

Yes....I had to turn it down to one bar only when I was close to the dog fence. Didn't find anything, lol. Don't know if there was nothing there or just couldn't detect it.
