That's awesome! Don't clean it if you plan on selling it later. Keep searching

Frank you got me reminiscing about my first Spanish what a awesome sight when you see those 2 pillars
Congratulations

Very cool...congrats!!!

Very nice find!!!

Plenty of detail left, soak in lemon juice for awhile and get the date

Congratualtions on the Spanish Silver! :occasion14:

Congrats on your first Spanish. There's no risk in rinsing it with some distilled water. This particular coin can't really loose any value.

I found my first ever Spanish Reale today in a farm field that I just got permission. This coin has been one of my "white whales" but I finally got her. :) Its pretty dirty and I don't think it would be wise to clean it. I can see a partial date of 17xx so I guess that will have to do. Thanks for looking.

Frank

Congratulations on a super find! Still waiting for my first. :occasion14:

That is a great coin. Congratulations!! I have not found anything that nice yet. Thanks for sharing.

THAT is so cool!

Great display case coin Well done!!!!!!

Killer find! I’m still looking for my first Spanish silver. And by looking I mean I hope someone was carrying one in the 1930s and dropped it at one of my sites cause that’s as old as a lot of them go [emoji23]

Way to go!!

Big congrats on your first Spanish Silver! Definitely a day to remember! :hello2:

Outstanding!!! Congrats!!!!

Agreed, it is very low risk especially as a low value coin.
To the OP - CONGRATS & re-post a clean coin picture with date.

Congrats! :icon_thumleft: Still on my bucket list!

Some history:
During the reign of Carolus IIII, one of his assayers had the initials "IJ"-- as they appear on your coin.
That assayer was the assayer at the Lima, Peru mint.
Great find !!
Don.....
