finally found a 1800's coin

i went for a hunt today at a fairly new spot that i haven't got any coins out till today it rang up as a mid tone but i decided to dig it and i'm glad i did when i got the dirt off it i as really happy with 1898 on the coin my first Indian ever Thanks for looking Happy Hunting

Best high I ever had. My earliest is 1801 Spanish half real. My earliest American Silver is 1837 Bust Half Dime. what a rush.

Congratulations, that IHP looks to be in pretty good shape! I dig everything anymore, been surprised. Once had a mid tone that I wasn't going to dig, but when I dug it it was a silver Washington quarter standing on edge. Had no business ringing up that low..lol.
