Finally found something interesting this year and its civil war

It's been really hard going so far this year just finding the usual flat buttons and buckles that are pretty toasted. But today I decided to scout out a new cellar hole surrounded by an old apple orchard I was there all but five minutes when this button popped up. I don't know why I got so excited that I left ha. When I got home I cleaned it up with some aluminum jelly and wow does this button have a lot of guilt left I didn't know what the cng was but with research I found out that it was a connecticut national guard button from the civil war era it's a first for me and it means a lot to me because I'm from ct.

Finding button....Good!! Cleaning button with jelly....BAD!!! You just dropped the value of that button. Collectors don't want relics cleaned like that.
