Finally getting some pics other than out back..

Went down the Meadows today and looks like it's gonna be a real good season for a lot of wildlife.

First time I ever see a Hooded Merganser..




There has to be at least 20 pair of Canada geese going to nest down here..




Painted turtles are out of the mud till next late fall..






I see there are fresh branches up there,last I saw her was 16 days ago,she must be hunkered down keeping her egg(hopefully more than one) warm..




When I got home had visitors looking in on me..

Yeah turtles around here will be sitting on the logs soon. They dump the mountain runoff in the town lake when the snow melts and the turtles don't wanna stay in the water when that cold water starts filling the lake. They'll jump in the water when you walk by, but as soon as your clear they get right back on their log again to catch the warn rays of the sun again.
