Well life has been hard lately with everything going wrong it seems, but you know what they say "Tough times shows your true friends" and I have to say our friends have been here for us. Enough of that sad stuff. I finally got a chance to get out (my arthritis was not as bad yesterday) decided to go knock on some doors on a few ridge houses and got lucky with the first knock, it has been a house that my wife and I have been hoping to hunt for a while now but never could locate the owners, yesterday they were home and I got the go ahead with you can come back also
house dates 1868 and has one of those yards that screams children playing all over it. I started out finding several wheat's dating from 1912-1951, then I dug a Indian 1896 and also found a 1888 Indian too. Then came this horrible signal which did not sound at all like silver but was a repeatable signal, Thought might be a bent pre 1982 penny. boy was I wrong it was a 1941s Mercury dime. By this time the storm was getting ready to dump on me so I packed it on up and hope to be able to get out again with in the next couple weeks.
Nothing better to relieve stress for me than to listen to some beeps and dig a few plugs. I got to say I needed that couple hours of hunt time and thank goodness for a understanding wife, even though she is p'd at me for hunting that yard without her
but I did promise her when we go back she can have the portion of yard I didn't hunt and I would work the part I did with my 12" sunray coil. So all is cool, nothing makes me happier than seeing my wife get some cool coins.
Well hope everyone is having a blast and good luck!
