FINALLY got out there

Hey all, been a while since here on T-net.
I finally got a window of time to go out and actually get wet and dirty.
Decided to make it a sampling trip and make multiple stops and check places out that I have been researching.

A couple spots didn't show much promise.
but one spot looked pretty good and I will try and make it back there soon (last pic).

It was just real nice to get out there and set things up and dig, and pack it up and make a move.
Kept it low key and lite w 24" BGT and canvas buckets. 2 of these buckets equals 1- 5 gal.
each spot got 3 ( 5 gal) buckets worth of material (6 canvas buckets filled).
It kicked my Arss after all that work and 8 miles round trip, but I was content and happy with it all.

Very nice, 8 miles ouch lol i got to get out and find some gold.

8 miles including stream side scrambling is a butt buster. Pretty nice show though.

Yeah that looked pretty good to me too, so I need to get back there soon.
Problem is I have another location I want to check as well, so when I do get the time, do I go back to this spot or stick with my plans and explore the other area.

And to everyone else... Yes my age was showing at the end of the day and also a few days prior to boot! haha!
But I can still do it, so I go.

Doing a final clean up of my cons from this trip, and I had some smaller stuff I missed on the quick pan.
So I got that going for me.
But I was noodling with the bigger pieces and taking pics and all and had a little fun.
I gave Mercury a gold necklace!

I was wondering about points north. Piru creek. I’ve been thinking of heading up that way. Today I’ll be at the claim in Tujunga.
