Finally got out........

Been 6 weeks or so since I've been slowed down enough to get on a dig. Once again this site yielded tons of very nice scrapers for 1 dig, broken knife tip, and a (not)flint hoe. It's made from some stone that outcrops on this spec of land. About half of the scrapers are made from flint, the other half they used this "junkstone". They seemed to be material poor at this site. Note the photogenic japanese beetle.

Thanks peachy. Thats a hoe though. I might take a better picture of it tomarrow in the sunlight it's a neat pc pretty thin in comparison to some I have similar to it.

Are you sure that's a Hoe? It's not very big to be a Hoe. Is there any polish on the large end from being used to dig with? It just looks like a large Blade to me.

Here are a few more pictures of the (hoe) Steve that was the first thing I looked for when I dug it up and while it doesn't really apear to have any polish it was definately utilized for some possibly short function, because as you see it has been worked completely around the edges. Also I suppose its kinda bigger than it looked in my previous pictures of it. About the size of my hand, little smaller. In the second to last picture you can see the scrapers that are made from some local "junkstone" I call it, but they definately were using it. In the last picture you can see I haven't cleaned up everything from saturdays dig. So peachy you could be right that could have been a scraper but it has the hoe look. <insert bad joke here (steve)Thanks 37
