Been a While since I’ve been here, just peeking in now and then...this summer produced some great finds but not worth posting. My hunting buddy Randy did some great research and came across an old site that showed a house in 1875...long gone of course and currently a bean field. Not knowing exactly where the house stood, we simply pulled into the field where we could and started there. Hitting iron right away, we never ventured more than 50 yards from the truck, as the targets started coming out of the ground right there. We arrived with 90 minutes of light left, and can GUARANTEE we’re heading back there tomorrow, as the amount of targets we dug in that time frame was amazing. Definitely virgin soil, Randy dug 3 Largies and the 1809 Real plus some awesome relics and I dug the Seated, a Buffalo and a neat token. I’m only posting the two coins tonight as we both have some cleaning to do, and I’m excited to post something nice. The Real was 3-4 inches and my Seated was at 1 inch...she’s in great condition but has taken a plow hit at one time. Please note that if you haven’t figured it out yet, this WAS my first Seated coin...been trying to shake that monkey off my back for a while. Thanks very much for looking and Happy Thanksgiving! Scotty
