This is a mining claim I have that I keep secret. Those are awesome! Sweet finds, did you find your own spot or is that a pay dig site your digging up those beauties? We have a spot in payson az where you can dig lemure diamonds or "payson diamonds" for a small fee and there's places I've found them where there isn't a day fee, I'd dig them up then wash them at a pond nearby, some have purple tips and great translucency, nothing almost black though, those are awesome!
Thanks, it's kind of tough digging, I'm basically using a spud bar and pick to bust up the feldspar and granite looking for pockets of red iron rich clay where the crystals are usually hiding. I opened up a pocket that looked really good, but only got a few smokeys. There is more to dig though, I can tell there is a mineralized seam that is full of clay that might open up. Last time that happened for me, I found crystals bigger than my fist! Those are very nice. I enjoy the pictures of the surrounding rock!
