Finally, my first silver!!

Been detecting for a little over a year now, and started off with a BH Tracker IV, then went to the Ace 350. Over the winter I got an At Pro and just today I finally found a 1924 mercury dime kind of just by the road in a park I have hunted many times before. I was beginning to think this city had been hunted out completely! Hope has been restored!

Silver is fun! I have been finding mercs since the early '70s and the last one I found is as exciting as the first. Nice! Go get some more from those hunted out areas. TTC

Way to go on the great silver find!. I'm a newbie and had the great fortune (or just dumb luck) of finding two mercs in the same yard four days apart and the second one was within a few feet of the first and I missed it the first time. Awesome find! Even if I just find a few clad pennies it gives me a great sense of satisfaction for some reason...needless to say i'm hooked on detecting! Keep it up and happy hunting!
