OK, photography apparently isn't my gig, but....
Finally found some good stuff. Hit a friends 110 yr old house Saturday. The first corner of the lot (about 20 ft by 10 ft), just brought heat exhaustion and a couple of 1970's pennies. The other side of the curb, pretty much the same thing. Finally in a delusion, hit up by the house and started finding older coins. Hit the indian head first, 1908 if I remember correctly. Pre WWI. Very cool. Unfortunately didn't have the "O" on the back side. Followed that with a 1942 Merc. Back in those days we were in the middle of WW2. After sweeping it in multi-tone, went back with two tone ferrus to see if I left any nickles behind. Turns out I left a roached 1911 V-Nickel and a thimble (size 11 I believe). Also ended up with two wheats (not pictured) 1942 and 1919 if i remember correctly. Both were pretty crusted up. Also found two kids play coins from 1950 (at least they have 1950 on them). Finally, didn't find the rest of the cap-gun, but got the hammer.
Hit the back hard and stumbled into the beak-less chicken. The nerd in me really likes the pot metal eye gouging/choking hazards kids played with back in the day. I'm sure the paint was lead free..... Also found one of those big diaper pin keychains nearly everyone had back in the late 80's/early 90's (not pictured). I don't know how someone could loose it, but there were four or five keys on it.
All in all, one of my better days.
