Came back home for the weekend this afternoon. Pastures were just mowed and they had 2” of rain this am. Spent 30 min at a spot on our farm…..best hunt I’ve ever had at that spot (although that’s not saying much). Pewter utensil handle, finial (at least I assume so, if so it’s my first), 2 cuff flat buttons, and a buckle (I think) of some sort. Has “Philadelphia” stamped on back. This is on the path of the pa wagon trail which is how most folks from central Nc arrived via Philadelphia. Never seen a buckle with anything stamped on it. Will post in “what is it” in a bit. Spot found was a log cabin that was deserted in the late 1800s,and had been long enough no one knew who lived there previously.
