After digging our old homesite and only finding every piece of iron, beer can and pop tops, I found this 1905 Barber Quarter today. I was so elated to finally have found this silver! 1905 Barber Quarter. In the same hole I found a Watkins Liniment bottle. I'll be checking that area for more!

Awesome find! Congratulations!

Congrats on the barber.

Nice coin 717fly! Just goes to show how cleaning out the junk and iron can sometimes lead to nice finds that had previously been masked. This is where patience pays off. Way to go.

I like old US coins...very nice.

persistence pays

Happy dance keeper in great shape. Congrats you earned it.

Hello 717fly. Nice dig and in great shape too! Is there a mint mark on it? HH C9

That's a great point. I know an older gentleman that spent the better part of 2 years off and on cleaning out an old foundation site that was basically used as a trash dump. He finally got all of the trash and all of the junk targets out and was rewarded some very nice colonial silver. Just goes to show that slow and steady will always be rewarded. Great job

Beautiful Barber Quarter! :occasion16::occasion16::blob9::occasion16::occasion16: Lots of detail, congrats on your hard work paying off! Andi

That makes digging all the trash worth while! Beautiful find! Congrats

It doesn't have a mint mark on it. I can't believe that I didn't nick it with the shovel when I was digging it out! Funny, but I've been finding a wide variety of items out there and just am having such a hard time with the signals. So I was just ecstatic to actually bring up this Barber.

Last week I found this old bridal rosette and a faceplate to an old Clarion radio. I love the old iron items I've been bringing up, but would love some more silver now that I have a task for it. And, of course, gold would be awesome!!

And a few more goodies from the same site.
