With no time to get out I have been hitting tot lots in Hispanic neighborhoods and did mange to find a few silver or 10K items. Nothing on the huge scale, but not clad either. Long story short, I finally ran across a sidewalk tear-up. Only on phase 1 - removing the cement. Once they bring the bobcat back to help level everything off, and scrape more off the side of grass, the finds will (hopefully) be more numerous.
So far I found 7 wheat ears, the oldest being 1919 (2 of them but not near each other), an older CTA token (Surface Fare - circa 1950's), a Princess Pat container (1950's also?) and a silver ring (first real ring at a tear up). I also found another what I think is an old carbon rod use to illuminate streetlights?
I did a property search - some houses go back 110 years so still hoping for Barbers and Indians.
Off to MI next week - but the area has been hit by so many detectorists I'll probably just stick to fishing :P And I hope they don't have the sidewalks finished off while I am out of state LOL.
The 2, 1919 wheat ears:
Princess Pat:
The ring - 4 figurines on there.
Some previously found carbon rods:
