Truth: I read something on that, somewhere, can't remember where. As far as Cottonport, nothing. There are a few near Marksville and Simsport, but they could be on Federal land, who knows. Just looked, the one I have has a star. I only have one so I can't compare it to any other, but they were factory made. I have a .59 Gardner and a .58 Williams neither has the Star.

I went out to two locations in Chalmette on the river but they've filled in with clam shells 6" deep. Jai Alai Club and near the battlefield. Tough digging only found a 1966 dime and a lot of aluminum. Wrists hurt today. Does anyone have freebee donation places to hunt in New Orleans area?
