Tried putting it in what is it.. but no replies... Still I think it's old maybe 1910s...I honestly don't know exactly what it is..

I see one "extra" free floating chain link on the chain. The button may have been attached to a vest button hole, and the chain hung inside the vest with a pocket watch, watch key, or locket of some kind. A very cool find, congrats! Sub
