Spent about an hour hunting a park where some old homes used to be its hunted to death but while everyone hunts around the rides and benches and picnic tables i hunt around the outside edges found 3 silvers and one coin looking item that has a bif 5 on both sides nothing else. someone mentioned they thought it was a spanish coin i have no idea if its a token or coin but a 5 on both sides is all it has SDC10572.webpSDC10575.webp

Thanks for sharing!

Congrats on the silver and other finds

Pretty silver..! Good job avoiding the heavily hunted areas and making the score.

Nice finds! The token with the 5 on it is what I call a "generic" trade token. They were sometimes used by general stores that chose not to have customized tokens made with their name and location. The benefit was that they were cheap for the merchant to buy, but the downside was that they could not tell whether the token came from them or from the store down the road. They were probably used ca. 1915-1930 give or take, found all over the country, and were in denominations from 5¢ to $1.

Three silvers in one hunt = awesome day! Congratulations. I'm very jealous of that Barber quarter. Great condition. Hopefully one day it will be my turn to dig one.

Very well done sir!

That Barber quarter is really nice. Lot's of meat on her bones.

Best of luck to you.

Nice score! sweet Barber! :occasion14:

Nice job thinking outside the box and managing a real nice quarter outta the public area. that is getting very hard to do.
The elusive barber quarter....ONE OF THESE DAYS, dangit!
Grats and thanks for sharing.

Nice finds. That Barber is really nice. You hunt the old parks the same way I do. I don't waste my time around the rides or benches. I try to find out where the old homes were and that's where I spend my time.
