We had a light shower monday, so I just had to get out and get up to the field. It didn't really rain enough to get to much but it wasn't bad. Here are some of the pics..

3 decent points.
The second one tip has been worked down into a possible scraper.
The last pic is of the broken stuff I found. Alot of bases and what looks like a semi polished piece of granite, probably off of an axe or a celt.
I found 2 broken pot sites too. I found a good amount of pottery in both places. I have one of them cleaned up I'll try to get a pic of the pieces.

thanks for the look

me again..

here are the pieces for one of the 2 pot sites I found. it's got 2 colors to it. some of the pieces are a peach/tan color and the others are black. they have a really nice groove decor to it. this is what I found just on the surface I didn't have a chance to dig, but there was a portion that had to be completely obliterated... sad.

thanks for the look

Actually I got a field on the bluffs, overlooking the river!

Keep your eyes on the ground.

I'm no expert but that point in the first picture looks older than hopewell to me??? Either way VERY cool stuff!!! Thanks for posting!

Im not really sure. I kind've thought it might be a Hardin point. Early archaic period?

Thanks for the look.
