Finds from some recent hunts

Got out last week a of couple times when my friend Evan came out from Oregon. We hit a couple local spots before heading to the DIV hunt in Culpeper. My best local finds were a couple of coins - an 1802 LC and an 1869 IH. I didn't do as well at the DIV hunt as was hoped as I could not figure out how to use the GPX 4000 (with mono coil) in the iron. I had to give up on that and revert back to the Infinium. Did find a few things including a gilted navy and staff cuff buttons, but not a whole lot else of interest. Still had a great time with my hunting buddies, plus we were able to avoid the forecasted rain. Looks like my relic season may be nearing an end as the fields around here have either grown up or been planted, so guess its time to start doing research for next fall.

Bill, from Virginia......this is Bill, from South Korea.....who was stationed at Ft. Lee, VA back in the '80s.
Would have loved to have met you, and had you show me the ropes for hunting in that area. I managed to
do ok. But, looking at your posts, you could have taught me much much. Always do look forward to

Great bunch of finds there. I like the little cuff with all that gilt. It sure was good to see you at the D.I.V. In Culpepper last week. We should hunt sometime.

Alright, Bill, on digging an early copper. Draped Bust coppers are one of my favorites to dig. We usually get our share every year. Keep researching hard, digging even harder, and crank that passion up to the maximum!

Great to see you and Evan at the DIV hunt. Man, that farm was huge. I just couldn't check out all the areas I wanted to hit due to lack of time and excessive walking! Looks like you managed to do OK despite your issues with the mono coil on the GPX.
