I know how you feel! Around here the fields are planted, grass too dry to dig and play areas not being used. As for water, I have the machines and all the gear, but I'm not a beach hunter; I could be if need be. :dontknow:

On a pleasant note during the Covid lockdown from March to late June I hunted everyday and amassed a huge amount of old Coins, Relics and Jewelry. I didn't post any of the hunts, but do have many photographs of the individual hunt ends. Perhaps I'm post them sometime. :icon_thumleft:

I hear ya smokey. Im lucky if I can get 2 hours in a week now..

I have to get in the ocean to hunt....otherwise I'll melt !! Sure is nice in the water though !!

Spent 5 hours in the water yesterday......it was peaceful !!

For sure. My Wife decided to plant 2 star magnolia trees and 1 fringe tree. Had to basically chisel the holes and put potting soil in so they’d hopefully grow lol. Thankfully We’ve finally gotten rain the last 2 days! Fall Weather is coming:) Just not quick enough......

So...this digging season I painted the basement, put in a set of solar panels, complete with humongous marine deep cycle battery to charge up the new 12 volt freezer, put in a well pump, cut and removed (not by myself of course, a tree that weighed between 4 and 5 tons, it was huge, got the hot water heater replaced, had to deal with three sick pets, one of which, Scrambles the Wonder Chicken, died, fixed the chicken house, restained the front porch and then rebuilt the deck and just restained it today. Also scrubbed the truck interior by hand, deep cleaned as much as possible, and did my own oil and filter changes on both vehicles.

It has been very hot lately. I made it out yesterday for 2 hours and managed a few finds.

I finally got out, I suppose I've been out a lot more than a lot of folks. Got some nice stuff, but now cleaning it up and I have some artifacts form three weeks ago still sitting in the pouch! It's just too hot to bother. Might try a dry sand beach. I haven't been to one since late last year or something like that.

Sorry to hear about Scrambles, and sorry you haven't gotten out that much but dude, you're busier than most! Obviously many more awesome finds in your future, look forward to your upcoming posts,

Steve

Thanks. Cheffer, I have two new sites. One was a Confederate sympathizers house (burned down some time ago, now a vacant piece of land). Be interesting to see what I find. One of my Confederate buckles was found on a homestead. Wishful thinking I guess.
