Ain't that a shame? I practiced really deep signals this morning and this was my last signal after a couple hours. The last seated I found had silver disease like this. I don't find a lot of mint marked coins so that was a nice little surprise. Also don't know of it'd be hard to get elsewhere but if you see it out I highly recommend anything Rhinegeist. Maybe I'm a fan since it's local but it's never disappointed. Thanks for looking.

good detail on that one! and rhinegeist is yummy.

I think shes still a beauty.

I have silver disease, btw. Lol

Congrats

Disease? I say beauty mark! Lovely little imperfection!

I have yet to find one of those, so she is perfect to me.

It's just tarnish that's all very common with some I find, take some bakeing soda and water and mix into a paste rub in over the coin it will come right off and you will not hurt that coin at all...

Looks good to me, I wouldn't do anything to it. Nice hunt!

Nice looking Barber. Lots of detail for being over 100 years old!!!!

Just gives it character

Very nice looking dime, congratulations.

I'd leave it alone; it has 'character' as is.
Baking soda is an abrasive and can produce minute scratch marks--a definite "No'No"--if you intend to sell the coin or get it appraised.
IMO,
Don.....

that doesn't look like corrosion, just toning (as others have mentioned)

I like it!, I have a SLQ that is black on the back, I love it!

Yeah I've only used baking soda on a barber quarter I scratched pretty bad. For every coin I only rinse and if old enough put it in a holder. It sure made it pretty but I never would have done it if it wasn't already damaged pretty bad
