Tons of fine gold we don't have, but gold is present in nearly every creek and river in the State. The better drainages for gold are the Blue Mtns, the upper John Day drainage. the western slopes of the Central to Southern Cascades, particularly the Rogue and Umpqua rivers. By the way, what type of recovery equipment are you trying out?

Bohemia area, southeast of Cottage Grove is great for lots and lots of fines. Sharp's creek in particular. I dunno how fine you're looking for, but 200 colors in a pan isn't uncommon. And all 200 would fit on the head of a pin together. :)
