Fingal Castle

Looking for information about a place called "fingal castle"
Supposedly it sat a couple miles north of Morgantown , Pennsylvania, Berks
County. I have read several very vague references to this place....

no, not windsor castle, that is on the other side of the county.
I read a reference in Indian Paths of PA..
"...for some miles the path, passing the site of the mysterious "Fingal Castle" kept to the ridge"....
I remember reading another reference somewhere, but don't remember where.

On an 1860 map I can see it marked on the north west corner of the
caernarvon township map.

Looks like that would be MOUNTAINEER VILLAGE Now.

Or at least in that area.

"Fingal Castle" May have Been a Large Rock Outcropping
being your Reference says Mysterious. Going to need more research on that part.

& although I'v never been there, It may be near a Landfill Site
