Fire treated material????

Not saying that it's anything just wondering if it might be some leftover material.? Found it going up my driveway in a washed out spot. The other is a piece I found on the same hill back this winter. looks kinda like the same material. I know it's nothing much but when I find something at the house it catches my interest.

Hard to tell 100% from the pics but from what I can see it looks worked
