First 2011 gold today!!

Hi everyone. Took the day off work today due to a drs. appt. After a boring, grueling 3 hours @ the office (tests + new dr. = loooong wait... ), I was finally free around 2 pm. Hit a few local parks for a few hours. Only notable find was this nice 14k Italian white gold earring found on the surface (I thought it was silver until I saw the 14k mark). Pics below. Enjoy!!

Actually, I did. I wanted to see how it would ring up on the E-Trac. It came up as a very slight "blip" reading 12/12-12/13. Had this been buried, I never would've dug it, thinking it to be falsing or trash.

Not quite. I weighed it already. 0.8 grams. At today's prices, it should bring ~$20 @ the gold scrapper. Eh, it's gas money....can't complain...
