Search turned up several pole mounted.

Yes and works good...I have several poles collecting dust and will mount this detector on one and rewire through the handle...

Happy Hour, I have two original Amigos and both are pole mounted.I also have a couple of catalogs from 82/83 and there is a review on the Amigo with no mention of hip mount.

This was a great detector in its day. TR's were none motion.
