Hi all:

I didn't have a firm plan for detecting this weekend as a couple previous plans fell through. I decided to hit a 1900 house that I started hunting last fall. My previous hunt here had found nothing of note in the two yards I covered. First, I hit a nearby older house/barn site. After finding lots of large rust relics I opted to go back to the 1900 house and search the unhunted side yard. Right under a bird feeder I got a good signal and was thrilled to pop out my first Barber dime. (1911) Two steps later I got another good signal and dug my first Barber quarter! (1916) Now I'm really pumped!! :headbang: Regridding the area unearthed a '23 Mercury dime. I'll be smiling all week and you can bet I'll return for more gridwork. :icon_pirat:

HH and thanks for looking,
Michiganne

WTG!!! Congrats on the firsts, Michiganne!!!

That quarter has a lot of detail!

Good luck when you go back there!

Great finds, our money in the past sure was cool looking.
Today, especially the bills are down right ugly.

Afterall, if our money isn't worth anything we should at least make it look good.
