First box of halves Ever!

Hi there - Read all your posts, and got excited.

I have been hunting rolls for nearly 5 weeks now!

I have over 40 silver ( about 10 90%s - 1 ben ) since I started. with my best luck being on Day 1.

I usually just ask for rolls at the bank, but get offers on boxes - "Do you want us to order you a box?" - I was shy. I said no.

One Chase branch told me they have sitting on a box of halves for long time, the guy who ordered it never calls back. SO I thought about it for a while, and picked it up.

I scored 2 40%s on that box. Boxes aren't all that bad!

After my first week, my coinage has slowed to a crawl. Maybe 3 or 4 silvers a week since my first week. A little more about week 1. About 150 in customer rolled halves yeilded 4 90%s, and about 15 40%s.

Thanks for all the help peeps. I have two boxes coming in this week, so I am a excited for more of the good stuff. Bonus, one is below me in my office building! Easy access.

Might be better not to order where you can run into co-wokrers. But it is very efficient. HH Make sure you read the post for beginners, lots of help there.

Good luck and happy hunting! Don't be afraid to look to other denominations from time to time. On second thought, I don't search halves so stay away from the other denominations and leave them for me!

I dump at a credit union - I have to drive about 15 miles each way to their free customer coin star. Their are three branchs within 3 miles of each other, so I take it a different branch each week. About 1K a week. gunna have around 1.3K this week due to another box I'm getting in about 4 hours.

I'll pic some pics of my CRH silver soon.

And just so you all know, I got into this because of the silver coins I was finding in the coin stars!
