Incredible find, Congrats!!!

I know next to nothing about buttons, but what is something like this worth?

Congrats on an outstanding button.

Awesome button

Non-dug, a few sites have these listed for around $2,500. Dug around $1,000 - $1,300 depending on condition. Around $1,500 at Civil War shows but it's really rare to find them for sale very often. They're usually in the collector's "Display Only" "Not For Sale" cases if they have one. The price doesn't matter though. Everything I find is priceless and I've never sold one thing I've ever dug. It all goes to my daughters.

Wow.... i had no idea. Are the prices based on actual sales? Just curious
