Thats what I did when I got my new detector. I found 2 wheaties first thing and then no coins for two hours.

I was/am/will be hooked for life.

WTG-ROOT,I detected my yard(over and over) and all I came up with so far is a couple zincs a few old pull tab beer cans,some nails and other various trash items.Good luck and keep at it-where there's wheat there's silver.H.H.-diggummup
