After walking a field and not hearing anything on my Nox 600 for hours, I was ready to pack it up, and half-heartedly swing my way back home. Luckily enough, I got a squeaky 28+ signal on the way back. I quickly dug a plug, and out came a 1960 Memorial cent. I figured no way in hell that gave me such a high signal, so I went over the hole again and got the same reading. Out came a clad 1967 dime! Still not believing my detector for being so optimistic about clad, I went over it again and was thrilled to find a 1960 silver Roosevelt! No more signals were in the area, so I called it a day.

Been detecting for six years now, and never found any silver coins, and now since August, I'm at three silver dimes, lol! Tomorrow should be a good day for detecting, so we'll see if I find anything good then I guess.

That’s awesome! Sounds like the drought has been broken!

You were double lucky to find that silver dime. I was around in ‘65 when the clad coins came out. Nearly all of the silver coins disappeared overnight. By ‘67 when your spill was lost there were few in circulation so you got lucky twice.

Nice catch Rusty.
Good that you checked it out again, sometimes there's another coin.
Congrats on #3
