first coin

Out learning my garret 250. Found lots of wire and nails. then a double sound at one spot. One was a nail the other was my first coin. A 1961 penny. Not very old, but it's a start. I think I am gping to like this treasure hunting. sorry no pics

Congrats!!! I used a 250 for a while and one thing I learned is to trust your machine and size out your target with pinpoint to avoid digging up a 5lb hunk of steel!!! Happy hunting.

Wow, Clark Lake, MI, that's up there in copper country. Once you get familiar with your Ace 250, do some research and head over to some of the old logging camps. May not come across alot of coins but the artifacts are out there if you're interested.
