The past year, I've been hitting the halves pretty hard. Yes, this is about coin roll hunting; I love to dig silver, the older the better, but I've been kicking it with coin rolls. Doing a box today, this little baby popped out; definitely something I'd never seen before! I've pulled out a Bermuda half, a Canadian half, some Walkers and plenty of Bens but mostly what you get in a half dollar box is Kennedys. Kennedy. Kennedy. Kennedy. This half honored the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and my research indicates only 171,001 were minted. Why the extra one? Sorry about the picture quality; my camera didn't want to focus sharply.

Your Olympics find reminded me of one instance of my own Atlanta Olympics experience. The Atlanta Olympics Security Team was made of current and former cops; I being one of the later. We were allowed to wear our Kevlar vests, but could not carry even one item of defense; our only recourse was to call the local Atlanta PD. Go figure.........
