First dated SLQ

Went today with my son to a local spot where recently there was a concert. I was hoping for some surface finds but looks like someone already beat me to it. My son was bored so we walked to the woods where he could climb some rocks. I have hit this spot hard over the years and have made some great finds but lately ive been feeling its tapped out. Just as I was about to throw the towel in, I walked up to my son and had a great hit. Popped the plug and couldn't believe a 1927 slq was staring at me . She's slick but I'm glad it has a date. I'm sure I've swung around that target 100 times but today was the day.

Great find. I've only found one and I will never forget when it came out that hole and that beautiful eagle was staring back at me...I like to died. Mine didn't have a date I'm glad yours did. Congratulations!!

Hello rainorshine. Nice dig...always fine to see old and bigger silver pop...I have (5) SLQ's but only one with the date.

Thanks everybody for all the likes. This is my third SLQ but the first with a date. I agree, it is one of the best looking coins from the good ole days and a nice surprise to see staring at you instead of a GW.
