SDC2300, Gold Bug 2 Burlap, fish oil, .35 gallons of water per minute.
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
So I had my third kid on july 26th and I have a 10 year old and 7 year old already, I have only worked and been a Dad since then . I took my son and daughter to their first day of school and came home, and decided I had about an hour of free time to go scrape a crack or two. So I assembled my Two man mining team:tongue3:.. Me and Sam Colt, I put on my snake gear, shorts and combat boots:headbang:...I like to mock the snakes, they happened to stay in their hiding places....and i gave the Feds my gps coordinates....yet they never came to get me:icon_scratch:......so after a five minute drive and an hour of scraping I ended up with about a gram...most of the weight from a sweet fat little picker....all and all a good refreshing hour, though the walk out was a little huffy puffy its amazing to feel the difference frome the smoke in the air.:hello:

Congratulations to you and the wife on the new arrival! Girl or Boy?

Nice bit of gold you picked up! Pickers that size are always a nice gift. Nice blue pan!! It will be interesting to see what the New 'Extreme' Garret PI detector is all about............................63bkpkr

Girl, Chloe Marie.

Looks to me an hour well spent . 8-)

The best find was on the 26th, but todays wasn't bad. Congrat to you and your wife

very cool ,congrats on both .

Congrats on the new addition man! After spending the summer Munchkin Wrangling I know how good that first day back at school can feel!! ...well for us at least.

With results like that, an hour would likely turn to days for me:laughing7: WTG!

yea well If i had days............It is very close to my house I can literally be scraping in ten minutes and it is not a claimable spot so I will always have access. As soon as the golf season slows down I won't be at work so much and I will be scraping more.I will try to head out again monday or tuesday.

Congrats on the new family member hope all is well. Goodluck........

Hey T...how did you get your dime so much smaller than mine?:tongue3:

:laughing7::laughing7::laughing7:

I just might get a piece about the size of a dime , maybe two , out of this one
chunk .
I've done a little work , over the last couple of years , on the section of dip
this stuff came from trying to help nature take it's course .
The overload of rain we've had recently finished the job in good order .
The break off and slide has been better than I expected . Some of this
saprolite has broke out and slid off in flat hard pieces ranging from an
inch to about 12 inches thick (approx ) in slabs up to about the size of
a sheet of plywood (approx ) .
Scattered fine gold in most of this stuff along with small mica , graphite ,
and magnetics but you can take a piece of it and forcefully drop it onto
the concrete a time or two and the hard chunks that seperate can have
some nice shine concealed . The piece in my sig pic is one of those
type hunks with a quick water spray off . It's loaded .
This stuff is a bit more trouble to " process " than the rock but you
can't just ignore the gold to be had from it .............. Right ?

Quite Right!
