Navy Flyboy

Guest
Took my Excalibur out today for it's first showing..First beach here in Jacksonville Florida didn't give up any fun, but the second beach gave me three different hits as soon as I was out of my car.

7 quarters
4 dimes
9 pennies
and a gold ring...Not sure if it is real...I will have to clean it up.

So I will be going out tomorrow...If anyone in Jacksonville is looking for a partner to hook up with..I'm in the Navy and I can get us on any installation that has a beach front (Mayport)...Gary

Good work. Good fortune for you to be in the warmth unlike a lot of us.

Post some pics when you get the chance.

Good digs mate, keep the dirty side down.

Welcome Flyboy...I'm former Navy myself. Never stationed in Jax, but did 2 years in Pensacola. What aircraft is that? Kinda looks like the F-14.

Nice beach digs. Hope the ring turns out to be the real thing.

Keep it up!

The aircraft is an S-3...I'm in VS-24 stationed in Jacksonville. I did three years over in Pensacola...I was at Schools Command. Gary

Welcome to the forum Flyboy, I look forward to reading about your new found treasures. And lately the treasure's found coming out of Fla have been some odd ones. Check out the post made by Bigcypresshunter, he found an airplane in the swamp somewhere down there recently.

Happy Hunting.

Hey Flyboy,

Didn't recognize the aircraft. Spent 2 years on a carrier (fleet sailor), but don't remember Vikings onboard. They may have been there, just being stealthy.

Congrats on the finds and keep on swinging. Thanks for continuing to serve this great country.
