Congrats on your first find from the 1700s. Based on the nice condition of your coin, I'll bet it that coin lost in the 1700s too. Most of the Spanish silvers I've found were heavily worn and had clearly circulated for a long time.

That’s a good sign that you’re mind was already thinking about more. That’s what pushes us to find more and even better and older. It took me about a year to find my first Spanish. Then I pushed myself to find more. Then I set loftier goals. Why not a 1600s silver. Then that happened (actually 2). Now I want a damn colonial gold coin....then an entire hoard of Mass silvers lol. Ok I’m getting carried away but you get the idea.
