Attended my first ever auction and it was a blast. Heres what i purchased.

Up first i bought a box of 22 pocket knives. Theyre all the cheap kind you find in a gift shop for about $5-$10 each. All were brand new in the box. They are similar to this one I have listed. Jaguar Pocket Knife Camo | eBay Paid $15 for the entire box. If they dont sell on Ebay I think I will toss them on craigslist as a lot for $60.

Next I purchased a pallet of entire brand new lighting. See attached photos. All in all 10 lights for $25. I had the opportunity to buy more pallets but I want to see how they sell on craigslist first. Some of the tags on them from the stores range from $75 - $277.

Next I purchased this random box of bank misc. Inside were two vintage traveling tellers that hold coins. Labeled on top is the National Savings Bank of Fulton, NY. These sell for $15-$30 on ebay each. Also inside the box was a Oswego Savings Bank vintage metal coin bank, the little clock, a few cheap rosaries, and two vintage pocket knives not pictured (case and barlow). Paid $20 for the box.

Next I purchased a 1g gold necklace for $20. maybe over paid.

Next I purchased the cuckcoo clock for $7.50

also purchsed the round clock for $35. Prolly overpaid but im keeping it for myself.

Also not pictured is a nice cedar chest to restore I purchased for $12.50

Nice finds. Do you have the key for the clock? The Oswego Savings Bank vintage metal coin bank, is it leather clad and shaped like a book? I have a couple like that from other banks.

Nice! Auctions are a blast. I love them.

No key for the clocks. And yep, leather and shaped like a book.

Nice looking clocks!!

The knives are flea market fodder but only at $3 each max.

Nice looking clocks!!

I agree - I'm digging both clocks. Is the little one mechanical or electronic? If mechanical - how many days, who is the maker, is it jeweled? For the big one -- is the movement marked in any way - country or maker? What does the movement look like - can you take a picture? It's pretty easy to find replacement keys (in a pinch, I just use a squared off metal tube). I've sold small mechanical clocks for anywhere from $50.00 (bulova) to over $1,000.00 (lecoultre).

Way to go...y'all did good...

Auction are fun as long as you can keep from losing control and overbidding...or doing something stupid...

Never sneeze, scratch your nose, wink, blink, wave to a friend, and the like...and only bid using your own Bidders ID Card...

As an example, many years ago my ex-wife, thinking she was being funny (being stupid) borrowed a friends bidders card and purchased a market steer at the OC 4H / FFA auction...

Not only did she get kicked out of the auction, but had to make the purchase good...

I do not know too much about clocks. appears mechanical as there are dials on the back. No days. made by phinney-walker in west germany

Update: Cuckoo clock sold on Craig's list for $20. $12.50 profit. Sold all the modern knives on Craig's list for $63. $48 profit
