first find for the year

Finally got out found me some shoreline that had some exposed ground.Found a large amount of rhyolite that had been banged on.I also found this.I guess I'm going with adze it almost looks like they were gonna channel it but never went deep.it is definetly a woodworking tool.Good first day and a nice addition to my adze-gouge collection...mjm

Nice finds! I have a question: Is the first one pictured the same tool as the one in the other two pictures? The reason I ask is b/c I'm not sure if you cleaned it and it looked like that or it is the way the light is shining on it. It looks like you found two tools to me. That first one looks like a monster! Happy huntin'!

Glad you finally got to tunneled out and were able to find a nice one. We are getting rain tonight. Better than snow though.

Thanks rock it was much needed.I found as I'm getting older it takes me longer to recover from winter.My butt was dragging when I got home.We are gonna get more rain which is OK to melt the snow and take the frost out of the ground.Then I can start digging I got alot of catching up to do.....mjm

Thanks outlaw its 60° out and close to a foot of snow on the ground.Its been a strange spring so far.Gonna get out a little later but places to hunt are limited....mjm

Yes I am soon as my son gets out of school today I'm going to check out a rock fish weir hopefully the water is not to high need to locate it because there is a site there for possible future consideration...mjm
