I made about 1 month break in MDing because all fields are full of plants
, and I was too busy with children (time of tests in school) to reach any forest. Ok, 2 weeks ago I tried to search in the Croatian forests during holidays but there were too many mosquitos and some snakes in the grass, so that I turned down after the first 5 minutes.
This Sunday our family planned to visit strawberry field to increase vitamine level, but we were not sure that it's not too late and I was freed up and spend couple of hours in the forest.
Here is an overview of finds together with rubbish (I call so the most of military stuff).
This is not silver, just aluminum civil button, and not old, but it was the first find for 1 month.
Normally I don't search in bilberry-bushes, but this time I went through and occasionally my detector reacted with nice coin signal, although it was quite far from the ground. I dug this piece of leather, and thought at first that it is part of sole
.
But it was not. It was my first purse. Coins are from 1874 to 1935, and it was only total 11 pfennigs, so most likely a child lost it some 70 years ago or put it in the ground to save capital before WW2.
The purse was a nice bonus to my previous find, gilded medal resembling famous Maria Theresia Taler, a coin, which was started to be minted in 1740 and in some areas it is in use until now. Bit this medal most probably was made already in 20th century, judging on the chain lock
Another photo.
Thanks for viewing and HH
