Well I hit the beach on the other side of the lake yesterday, and finally met with sucsess ;D After digging a 1945 wheat and a 1976 bicentenial quater, I found this 10k ankel braclet. it is stamped with the 10k mark and the letters JCS on one of the links :o it weighs approx 1 gram? It was about 31/2 inches down. I pulled it off the side of the plug I dug without breaking it. it was intact and i put it in my cigarette pack and when i got home and pulled it out to show the wife it was broken... the chain is VERY fragile . OH well it is still beautiful and nothing beats the thrill of? FIRST GOLD :o I also had a buddy with me when i found it? who is now looking into buying a metal detector!!! looks like i will have a hunting partner soon. went on to find a 1940 wheat after that ;D so it was a great day!!! also in the pic is a 1956 wheat, and a 1990 5 pence coinfound in the same area the day before.Needless to say I will be back there this weekend I just know there is a silver coin there waiting for me. Sorry the pic is so bad l but still only using a scanner... HH? Majik
