I was able to get over to Phoenix for a 6 hour hunt yesterday and had a good day. A nice pile of clad, 8 Wheat pennies from the 40's and 50's, an earing, an old boat shaped button, a momento for Phoenix wildlife zoo, 1936s Mercury dime, 1950s Washington quarter, an old Ponds cold cream jar, a token for a Phoenix establishment, and the best find a 14 karat heavy gold wedding band. I didn't open the old jar. Maybe it's full of gold coins! Any idea when the Ponds company was in business? Do they still make the cold cream? Beautiful weather and a nice day of detecting. Thanks for looking and may all your metal detecting dreams come true. This is a nice area to live in Tommy. I have been all over Phoenix with my hunts. I just think it may be a little warm here in the summer months. I haven't opened the jar yet. Maybe tomorrow morning, but I only expect to find old cold cream in it.

I don't have a scale here in Az. If I were back in Pa I do have one there.

The jar was empty. No gold coins this time.

Nice finds. Enjoy the cooler AZ weather while it lasts!

I don't mind the heat. 80's and 90's work well for me. When the 100's hit, it's time to head back to Pa.

I use the ATPro here in Arizona. I always run max sens. and very little discrimination and go low and slow.

Excellent hunting!!
